Welcome to our new monthly update! Our goal is to keep you informed about the Central City Area Chamber of Commerce’s recent activities. Each month, we’ll share key highlights from the past few weeks and offer a sneak peek at what’s on the agenda moving forward. Stay connected and in the know with all that’s happening!
Small Town Market Days
Small Town Market Days drew customers to Central City area businesses from October 3-5, offering Chamber members a prime opportunity to shine. The Chamber of Commerce sponsored the event that placed local dining and retail businesses front and center in the minds of shoppers. The Chamber Board would like to thank all the businesses that participated or sponsored the event!
Ribbon Cutting for Karlie Santin - Summit Real Estate
On September 26th, we officially welcomed Karlie Santin - Summit Real Estate to the Central City Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Venture Center. Karlie is excited to assist with local real estate needs!
Spread the Kindness
This month, the Chamber Board “spread the sweetness” by visiting The Independent Club to show our appreciation for their generosity during the 4th of July Parade. This included a special recognition of Larry and Joyce who are always willing to lend a hand to the community. During the parade, the local bar and grill graciously set up tables and chairs for parade-goers on Highway 30. To thank Larry and the team for their kindness, Donna, the Chamber Director, treated the staff and patrons to refreshing ice cream beverages.
We’re excited to continue spreading kindness throughout the community with more sweet surprises ahead! The Board encourages all members to join our “Spread the Kindness” initiative. You can participate by paying it forward, wearing shirts that say "kind" or "kindness" on Fridays, engaging with our Facebook posts, and showing that kindness truly matters. Let’s make kindness a movement!
Gala Tickets Go On Sale
If you visited Wild Roots Greenhouse during their Fall Festival, hopefully you noticed the sparkling, Roaring ‘20s themed pumpkin entered in their pumpkin decorating contest. Chamber Board members decorated this pumpkin to shout-out our members and announce that Gala tickets are now available!!! The 1920’s themed gala set for February 1, 2025 will feature “Fun Pianos” and food from KennaBell’s BBQ, and it promises to be a memorable evening. Please check the Chamber website for details and ticket options!
